Things Really Are Getting Better This Time
He's coming home!

cptn_oblivious wasn't getting June leave and had problems at home and one of the guys in his unit stepped up and gave him his spot. Who ever that man is I thank him with all my heart.
DH will be home on the third or fourth, he leaves the base on the first. He's coming home.
AND I Did fix the AC yesterday so it's a lovely sixty degrees in here right now. I'm wearing a sweatshirt.
I'm doing the happy dance in my chair. Which is a bit like the peepee dance but with less leg crossing.
ETA: DH IM'd me to let me know the name of the Specialist who is now on my Christmas list. I will be sending him a letter of thanks and any damn thing else he wants from the states. Cookies (store bought, of course, cause I don't want to poison the man that did us a huge favor), candy, magazines, whatever.
I'm chipper. Positively giddy. Which is sort of scary, actually.
