Quick update - all the kittens have been placed in homes, so that's one less thing for me to worry about.
Captain and I went to a dinner theater production of Sherlock Holmes and the Final Adventure (or something like that) on Friday. To be honest, I would guess the average age of the audience was probably late fifties/early sixties, so we stuck out a tiny bit. Other than nearly missing out on all the good desserts because the wiley seniors zoomed in and snagged armfuls of plates before even being shown to their tables, we had a pretty good time. I've already suggested we go back in September for the next play, the title of which I've already forgotten, but I think it's supposed to be a murder mystery of some sort.
This weekend, our (only) local friends have been packing up their house because they're driving to their new duty station in Virgina on Monday. Captain has been over at their place, helping (and today, apparently, being Mister Bossy Pants with the ordering people around). I popped over last night after it cooled off a bit, but I didn't do much more than pack a few boxes and pet a kitten.
Anywho, since the husband has been gone this afternoon, I sat down and found the last Exchange gift I reviewed (posted way back on the 10th of June, OMG, I am so far behind) and started reading and reviewing. As of tomorrow, I won't have anything to do other than knit or scrapbook (no deadlines on those at the moment) so I can actually devote sometime to trying to catch up on the Exchange.
Then, in a few weeks, when I'm all caught up, I thought I might sit down and perhaps work on some writing. Maybe fiddle with a story that I've finished but haven't really posted anywhere, I think I short changed it a bit in my eagerness to finish it, and it might benefit from some extra work. Then there's Walls of Jericho which has been sitting dormant (I don't like to use the term "abandoned" but some might in this case). I've got most of a new chapter sitting on my hard drive, but I'd like to actually finish the entire story before I start posting on that one again. Oh, then there are three untitled little story beginnings that I might expand on. Oh oh, and there's that plot bunny for a Bill/Lavender fic that's been tugging at my skirt hem for over a year now.
Plans... I has them.
